Greenwich voters who need absentee ballots still have time to get them before Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
The Town Clerk's Office will offer extended hours until 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2, according to Patch. That date is the deadline to request an absentee ballot for the general election.
Early voting wraps up Nov. 1 at Greenwich Town Hall, 101 Field Point Road. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
How to get an absentee ballot
Absentee ballot applications are available for download from the Connecticut Secretary of the State's website and at the Town Clerk's Office, according to Patch. Voters with questions about the absentee ballot process can call the Town Clerk at 203-622-7897, according to the town's voter registration page.
Registrars of Voters Fred DeCaro III and Mary Hegarty do not issue absentee ballots, according to the town. The Town Clerk handles applications, distribution and returns. The Registrars count the ballots on Election Day.
Same Day Registration
Unregistered voters can sign up and cast a ballot the same day during early voting at Town Hall through a process called Same Day Registration, according to the town's voting hours page. Same Day Registration is also available on Election Day at Town Hall's lower level.
Election Day
Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. on Nov. 3. Voters cast ballots at schools and civic buildings across town based on their assigned district. The Nov. 2 absentee ballot deadline is the last chance to request a ballot before heading to the polls.
