More than 75 local retailers will spill onto Greenwich Avenue starting July 9 for the annual Sidewalk Sales Days, and for the first time, community nonprofits will join the mix.
The Greenwich Chamber of Commerce announced that the four-day shopping event runs Thursday, July 9, through Sunday, July 12, stretching from Putnam Avenue to Railroad Avenue and onto neighboring side streets. The event is free and open to the public, rain or shine.
New for 2026: a Nonprofit Village debuting July 12. Up to 10 organizations will set up tables in the shaded area outside the Havemeyer building at 290 Greenwich Ave., according to Chamber director Andrea Blume. Confirmed participants include the Bruce Museum, Alliance Française of Greenwich, At Home Greenwich, and Friends of the Wallace Center.
Nonprofits interested in the remaining spots can call the Chamber at (203) 869-3500.
Participating merchants can now display their sale items inside or outside their stores, a flexibility the Chamber added this year.
The Non-Storefront Vendor Village, set up in front of the Wallace Center at 299 Greenwich Ave., is also expanding. It's open to licensed Greenwich businesses without a brick-and-mortar presence on the Avenue, including home-based and cottage operations.
The Chamber's official event page lists 75 confirmed businesses, with more expected before Thursday. Shoppers will find J.Crew, Vineyard Vines, and Rag & Bone alongside Greenwich staples like Funky Monkey Toys & Books, Fahey Fine Jewelry, Shoes 'N' More, and Petticoat Lane.
The event is sponsored by ONS, JeepCity, the Dowling Group, and First Bank of Greenwich.
