A five-bedroom colonial on Willow Road in Riverside sold for $5.5 million on Friday, June 5, topping eight property transfers recorded at Greenwich Town Hall during the June 5–10 period.
The 4,600-square-foot home at 49 Willow Road, which overlooks the Willowmere Fountain and carries deeded water rights, was purchased by Charlene and Federico Persico. Sellers Russell and Carrie Wallack listed the property on April 29 at $4.95 million through Houlihan Lawrence. The recorded sale price of $5,500,001 came in about 11 percent above asking.
The sales closed as Greenwich navigates a new tax landscape. The Representative Town Meeting approved a $542 million municipal budget by a vote of 170-13, carrying a mill rate of 12.6, a 4.62 percent increase over the prior fiscal year. Seven property owners have also filed court challenges in Connecticut Superior Court disputing valuations from the town's most recent reassessment, according to Greenwich Time.
The second-largest sale was in Old Greenwich. Ana Carolina Lobo and Carlos Silva paid $3.525 million for 27 MacArthur Drive on Monday, June 8, buying from Steve and Alona Altman in the Havemeyer neighborhood.
Two sales on Riversville Road each closed at $2.2 million. Gerard Lee Hammerschmidt bought 332 Riversville Road from Jeanne Hansford on June 5, and Alexandria and Richard Swette purchased 189 Riversville Road from Candice Dhakhwa on Wednesday, June 10.

- 51 Forest Avenue, Unit 138, Old Greenwich, sold Tuesday, June 9, for $1.301 million. Seller Catherine LePoutre; buyer House of Monty 51 Forest #138 LLC.
- 51 Forest Avenue, Unit 23, Old Greenwich, sold June 10 for $905,000. Seller Robert Russo; buyer Frank Schiro.
- 50 Lafayette Place, Unit 1J, sold June 10 for $405,000, the week's lowest price. Seller Brennan Branca; buyer Rosa Esposito.
The eight transfers ranged from $405,000 to $5.5 million, spanning condos in Old Greenwich to single-family homes along Riversville Road.
