A section of Round Hill Road was closed Monday morning after a seal-coating vehicle overturned in Mid-Country Greenwich, sending drivers searching for alternate routes.

The Greenwich Fire Department said the incident happened in the 600 block of Round Hill Road, a winding residential stretch known for connecting back-country neighborhoods with areas closer to downtown.

Crews remained on scene to handle cleanup, and the department urged drivers to avoid the area while the roadway was closed.

Officials did not release information about possible injuries, what caused the vehicle to overturn or when the road would reopen.
