Greenwich police arrested a 65-year-old man three times in six days at East Putnam Avenue properties, charging him each time with Criminal Trespass in the First Degree.

Grant Sneddon of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., was taken into custody on Oct. 7, Oct. 9 and Monday, Oct. 12, as first reported by Greenwich Free Press. He also faces charges of Disorderly Conduct and Creating a Public Disturbance from two of the incidents.

Police said Sneddon had been formally barred from the Whole Foods at 90 East Putnam Ave. on May 23, 2025, at the property manager's request. Officers noted they recognized him from numerous previous contacts.

The Oct. 7 arrest came around 7:30 p.m. after a report of a man urinating on the side of the Whole Foods building. Officers found Sneddon at an outdoor table with a puddle smelling of urine nearby. He denied responsibility, according to police.

On Oct. 9, a motorist near East Putnam Avenue and Lockwood Lane called police after observing a man exposing himself and urinating in public view. Officers found Sneddon at 1137 East Putnam Ave., a separate property from which he had also been trespassed.

The third arrest, on Monday, Oct. 12, followed a report of someone following shoppers at Whole Foods around 9 p.m.

The October charges are not Sneddon's first. Police had issued him a misdemeanor summons on Sept. 22 for Criminal Trespass at the same Whole Foods. In January 2025, he was arrested twice in two days at Riverside Commons for Trespass in the Second Degree.

Under Connecticut law, Criminal Trespass in the First Degree is a Class A misdemeanor carrying up to one year in jail and a $2,000 fine.

Sneddon was released on a promise to appear after each arrest. He faces three Stamford Superior Court hearings: Wednesday, Oct. 21, Thursday, Oct. 22 and Monday, Oct. 26.
