About 250 Greenwich High School singers take the Performing Arts Center stage Wednesday, Oct. 28, for a free concert open to the public.
The Fall Chorus Concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at 10 Hillside Road. It marks the Choral Department's first performance of the 2026-27 school year, the Greenwich Sentinel reported.
The concert also closes Greenwich High's fall music series. The orchestra performed Oct. 14, and the band followed Oct. 21.
Choral Director Luke Rosenberg leads the department's four ensembles. Concert Choir, the largest, includes more than 135 students in grades nine through twelve. Three audition-based groups round out the program: Madrigals, with approximately 36 female voices; Witchmen, with approximately 24 male voices; and Chamber Singers, a mixed ensemble of roughly 28 students in grades ten through twelve.
All four ensembles are full-credit, yearlong courses. Students rehearse in 58-minute classes four times a week. Music classes may fulfill fine arts requirements, and sustained participation in qualifying performing ensembles may also count toward a STEM elective credit, according to the Sentinel.
The department's next performances are the annual Candlelight Concerts on Dec. 16 and 17. The chorus returns to the Performing Arts Center for its spring concert on March 31, 2027.
