Ten Greenwich-area high school students landed on Moffly Media's 2026 Teens to Watch list, published Tuesday, Sept. 1.

The annual feature, written by Jill Johnson Mann, profiles students from six schools: Greenwich High School, Brunswick School, Greenwich Country Day School, Sacred Heart Greenwich, Greenwich Academy, Rye Country Day School, St. Luke's School and The King School.

The honorees are Ella Burchill and Ryder King of GHS, Finn Sargent of Brunswick, Devon Carella of Greenwich Country Day, Clare Junius of Sacred Heart, Kiron "Kiki" Taylor of Greenwich Academy, Alexandra Lund of Rye Country Day, George Belshaw of St. Luke's and Derek Shah of The King School.

Several standout accomplishments anchor the list. Junius competed on the United States U19 National Rowing Team at the World Rowing Championships and heads to Princeton in fall 2026 to study chemical and biological engineering. Sargent, an Eagle Scout, earned an Army ROTC scholarship to Lehigh University. Taylor, still a junior, founded PageNotFound.org to combat book bans and expand literacy access. She was also one of 30 students selected nationwide for the U.S. Senate Page Program in summer 2025.

"The thing I love about rowing is that there's always something to be reaching for; there's no perfection in rowing, and that's what I love the most about it," Junius told Moffly Media.

Two students' community work extends beyond the profiles. Shah, who directs the Toys Program at the Kids Cancer Foundation, helped deliver donated toys to children with cancer at Stamford Hospital on Jan. 2, Greenwich Time reported. Belshaw, a trombonist, was selected for the Connecticut All-State Band following two rounds of statewide auditions, the Greenwich Sentinel reported in March.

Other honorees bring their own range. King, a Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich member since age five, received the 2026 David Ogilvy Award for Character, Kindness and Integrity and plans to join Army ROTC at the University of Connecticut. Burchill plays three varsity sports at GHS and is launching a hoodie brand called Fifty, with a portion of proceeds going to local charities. Carella captains varsity soccer at Greenwich Country Day and traveled to the Dominican Republic to build houses for families in need. Lund completed two research internships at Mount Sinai's Institute of Cardiology and co-authored sections of a university immunology textbook.
