The Greenwich Nationals Baseball Club built a mission around player growth, hard work and sportsmanship. Three Greater Hudson Valley League championships in 2026 showed results.

Now the travel baseball club opens fall tryouts Sept. 26 for players ages 8 to 14, with a $50 registration fee and sessions capped at 12 players each. Registration is open for the 2027 season.

Players in the 8U through 12U age groups try out on two weekends at Banksville Community House, 12 Banksville Ave. The first weekend runs Saturday and Saturday, Sept. 26-27. The second runs Saturday and Saturday, Oct. 10-11.

Each day follows the same schedule. The 8U group goes from 9 to 10:15 a.m. and again from 1:45 to 3 p.m. The 9U/10U group runs from 10:25 to 11:40 a.m. and 3:10 to 4:25 p.m.

The 11U/12U group goes from 11:50 a.m. to 1:05 p.m. and 4:35 to 5:50 p.m.

Older players in the 13U and 14U divisions try out Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Havemeyer Field, 290 Greenwich Ave. A makeup day is set for Sunday, Oct. 18.

Returning players need to attend one session. New players must attend two, one on each tryout weekend.

The club's 8U squad won both the spring and summer titles in the Greater Hudson Valley League in 2026. In the summer championship game, played in Ardsley, New York, the 8U team shut out Pomperaug 6-0, according to Living Greenwich. Coaches Jeff Natale and TJ Ostruzka led that group.

The 10U Red team, coached by Mike Mora and Will Ostruzka, also claimed a summer title, beating the New Paltz Knights 7-0 with 12 hits.

Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo congratulated both teams on X in August.

The Greenwich Free Press reported the tryout details. The club's announcement also lists a 9U Summer Championship among its 2026 titles, though Living Greenwich's coverage identified the second summer champion as the 10U Red team.

Tryouts begin Sept. 26 at Banksville Community House.
