Greenwich detectives and the FBI seized 14 ghost guns, 15 assault weapons, and 61 high-capacity magazines from a Glenville residence, resulting in 90 felony charges against a Greenwich man already jailed in Westchester County on related firearms and drug offenses.

Michael S. Larriuz, 49, faces 14 counts of possession of an unserialized firearm, 15 counts of possession of an assault weapon, and 61 counts of illegal possession of a high-capacity magazine under Connecticut law, according to the Greenwich Police Department. The arrest warrant was approved by Stamford Superior Court and remains active.

The search warrant at Larriuz's home on Stonehedge Drive South followed his June 15 arrest in Westchester County, where a multi-agency sting operation led by the Westchester County District Attorney's Office had already netted 22 ghost guns, three serialized firearms, multiple large-capacity magazines, and six ounces of cocaine. Greenwich Police worked with the FBI's Westchester Safe Streets Task Force to execute the Glenville search.

In addition to the firearms, investigators recovered numerous firearm components, unfinished receivers, manufacturing tools, and accessories from the home, the department said.

In New York, Larriuz faces first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a Class A-I felony, along with first-degree sale of a firearm and five counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. His bail was set at $100,000 cash, $250,000 bond, or $500,000 partially secured bond following his arraignment in White Plains.

Prosecutors allege Larriuz provided guns and drugs to a confidential informant on at least 10 occasions between mid-December 2025 and late May 2026, with transactions taking place at a Mobil gas station along the Hutchinson River Parkway on the Harrison-White Plains line.

"I am very happy with the cooperation and work that our departments did together, and I am proud that we were able to get these illegal weapons off our streets," Greenwich Police Chief James Heavey said on July 7, when the Westchester County DA's Office announced the initial charges against Larriuz.

Larriuz remains incarcerated at the Westchester County Department of Corrections. No Connecticut court date has been announced.
