The Whole Foods-anchored shopping plaza at 68-90 E. Putnam Ave. has a new property manager, adding a second major downtown Greenwich retail site to The Ashforth Company's local portfolio.

Ashforth's management services division announced Monday, July 13, that property owner The Halsam Company selected the firm to run day-to-day operations at Putnam Plaza, a 28,300-square-foot retail center on Route 1 near the Greenwich train station and Interstate 95.

Jackie Monge will serve as on-site property manager, with Laura Supliski handling operations administration, according to the company's press release.

David Marks, Ashforth's senior vice president and director of operations for property management, said in the release that the firm aims to enhance the property's long-term value and deliver high-quality service to tenants and their customers. The Halsam Company, which owns the plaza, said it chose Ashforth for its reputation and depth of experience. The Halsam Company representative was not named in the announcement.

Beyond Whole Foods Market at 90 E. Putnam Ave., the plaza's roster includes Starbucks, Asiana Café, Salon Mimoza, and Choice Pet. The center sits at one of downtown Greenwich's busiest stretches of Route 1, drawing steady traffic from commuters using the nearby train station.

The Putnam Plaza assignment gives Ashforth a management role at a second prominent downtown retail property. The company already owns Greenwich Crossing/Greenwich Plaza, a 355,000-square-foot complex of offices and retail at the Greenwich railroad station that it developed in 1970. That property's multiyear redevelopment, which included a fully renovated train station that opened January 30, wrapped up in early 2026.

Founded in 1896 and headquartered at 707 Summer St. in Stamford, Ashforth owns, develops, and manages commercial and multifamily properties across the East and West Coasts. J. Ryan Harvey serves as CEO and president. The firm also holds properties in New York, Massachusetts, and Washington, D.C.

The announcement did not disclose a formal transition date or outline any planned improvements at Putnam Plaza under the new management team.
